Water Fountain Mural at Mother of God School, Ardeer 2020

In February and March 2020, this mural was designed, and the ceramic artworks made by the Senior Learning Community. Each of the 52  children designed what they would like to see on the wall, and then elements from each student's design were included in the mural. Then there was a mammoth effort to make all the clay parts of the mural. The mural was installed with mosaic in between the ceramic artworks in the last week of term.
Well done everyone, its a wonderful mural.

Completed butterflies at St Marks Primary School, Fawkner.

Here are our fabulous butterflies that we made. The school students made the ceramic parts and a group of parents assembled and mosaiced them. Not all of the butterflies are in these photos. I will need to photograph the rest when they are installed at the school.

At St Marks Primary School, the parents have been working on these mosaic butterflies which have ceramic features on them made by the children. We are making ten of them to place around the school.

grade prep/1 at St John's Primary school make plaques

A late posting but I just found these great photos on my camera. The prep/1 students from St Johns made ceramic plaques. They are just once fired (bisque) and decorated with coloured slips and alice blue underglaze. Most children made them in low relief by adding clay with slip. Pretty cool work kids!
