Here are the final pictures of the Alice in Wonderland Mural at Ormond Primary School
Most of the artwork made by the children and also the larger characters made by children based on children;s interpretations of the characters ( except for white rabbit and march hare which I had to made at the end when we ran out of time).
The mural also celebrates the 125th birthday of Ormond Primary School.
This is a whole school project and each child made an artwork for the project, ranging from, card men, birthday candle characters, roses and flowers, decorated tiles, cups, jugs, and the larger characters.
Well done everybody, we did good!!!!

Alice in Wonderland at Ormond - construction progress
The mural at Ormond Primary School is now being slowly constructed on the wall.
The left side of the mural which goes above the entrance to the prep area will be done in the school holidays. So you should all get a nice surprise when you come back from the mid year holidays!
All of the artwork in these photographs was made by the children, except for the march hare and flamingo.

designs for the Overnewton Artist in Residence Project
Here are some designs in process by groups of students. They are making actual size designs for their mosaic panels.
The first picture is an example design made by Debbie Qadri. It has the rabbit template on it. The template is a piece of paper cut out the same shape and size as the rabbit in the design. It will be used as a pattern when Debbie makes the rabbit out of clay, so that she can be sure it will fit into the actual mosaic.
